Netanyahu threatens force over Iranian election interference
Prime Minister Netanyahu said:
“If Iran attempts to disrupt the course of the elections, we will attack it with an unprecedented force”.
Netanyahu addresses Qatar’s mediation role
Asked, “Should Qatar continue serving as a mediator in Israeli affairs?” Netanyahu responded:
“We use Qatar because America used Qatar as a mediator. It was the main engine to spread antisemitism, anti-Zionism, first of all in American universities and then in social media. Qatar helped force a change in public opinion about Israel in the U.S.”
Netanyahu added:
“I bombed Qatar, you know. They accuse me of being pro-Qatar. I attacked Qatar. Qatar was one of the engines of our vilification. Only one. There are three other prominent ones”.
AHI party expected to withdraw from election race
Rabbi Abergil’s AHI party is expected to withdraw following intense pressure that included a Zoom meeting with Netanyahu and visits by rabbis.
Ben-Gvir approves gun-license eligibility for 11 more Samaria communities
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has approved gun-license eligibility for residents of 11 additional communities in Samaria, according to Otzma Yehudit.
The communities include Asif, Ganim, Har Bazak, Homesh, Kadim, Shira, Havat Yair, Maoz Tzvi, Havat Gilad, Sahlav and Eival.
Ben-Gvir said in a statement:
“My policy is clear: guns in the right hands save lives.”
“We are continuing the gun revolution and extending this reform to the new communities we established in Shomron. The residents of Shomron are the protective vest for the residents of Gush Dan, the Sharon communities and the Seam Line. I am proud to add them to the long list of newly eligible communities. We will keep adding communities and allowing as many citizens as possible who meet the criteria to defend themselves.”
Shomron Council head Yossi Dagan welcomed the decision and thanked the minister:
“Anyone who understands the map of Israel and its security reality knows that Shomron is the line of defense for the entire State of Israel. Many Shomron residents are fighters, veterans of combat units and reservists who put their lives on the line for the country’s security. They deserve the ability to protect their families and communities. I welcome the approval of gun eligibility for the Shomron communities and thank National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir for advancing this issue. Strengthening security in Shomron strengthens the security of the entire State of Israel.”
