Counterterrorism operation in Judea

IDF and Yamas soldiers continue operations to thwart terrorism in Judea following Friday’s attack in Hebron, in which Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roytman and Sergeant Yuval Shai Svilem were killed and additional soldiers were lightly injured.

During activity in the Hebron area, forces confiscated an M16 rifle, knives, a vest and a replica gun, among other items.

Yamam forces, acting on intelligence from the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), operated at several locations and apprehended six suspects, including an individual affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization. The suspects were allegedly involved in terrorist activities, including planning and facilitating attacks.

Six Hamas terrorists eliminated in Gaza

The IDF says an aerial strike in southern Gaza last Thursday eliminated Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas’ military wing who infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7, 2023 massacre.

According to the military, Baraka participated in the abduction of several Israeli civilians, including Alexander Dancyg. During the war, he also assisted in holding “numerous hostages,” including soldier Sgt. 1st Class Nimrod Cohen, in southern Gaza.

A separate aerial strike in northern Gaza last Friday eliminated Omar Awadallah, a Nukhba platoon commander, and Moataz Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Nimr, a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas’ military wing, the IDF says.

On Sunday, an aerial strike in the Khan Yunis area eliminated Anas Akram Muhammad Humaida, a Nukhba commander who infiltrated the Sufa outpost during the October 7 massacre, according to the military.

Another strike on Sunday eliminated Ashraf Mahmoud Yusuf Dahlan in Gaza City. The IDF identified him as a company commander in Hamas’ East Jabalia Battalion who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.

On Monday, Mahmoud Othman Abdullah Alwan, a Nukhba commander in Hamas’ West Jabalia Battalion, was eliminated in an aerial strike in Gaza City, the military says.

The IDF says the six terrorists advanced attacks against troops and Israeli civilians throughout the war, particularly in recent days, and worked to restore Hamas’ capabilities, “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.” It says the strikes removed the threats they posed.

Terror operative crossed Gaza’s Yellow Line

The IDF says troops eliminated a terror operative who crossed the “Yellow Line” in southern Gaza earlier today.

“Immediately after the identification, the forces eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat,” the army says.

Egyptian infiltrator apprehended inside Israel

An Egyptian national who crossed into Israeli territory overnight was apprehended approximately two kilometers from the border fence, according to the Israeli military.

An initial military probe found that soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras identified him crossing the fence at around 1:45 a.m. The military says they “maintained continuous surveillance” until the incident ended.

Troops dispatched to the scene apprehended him “in an area far from communities and IDF bases,” according to the army. He was handed over to the Shin Bet for questioning.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry claims the man has been “missing” since July and is “psychologically unstable.”
