Hebron terrorists’ homes sealed as operation continues
IDF troops under the Judea Brigade sealed the homes of Mohammad Jaaba and Firas Jaaba overnight Sunday in Hebron, the military said.
The two terrorists killed Staff Sgt. Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sgt. Yuval Shai Suilem and lightly wounded three other soldiers in Friday’s shooting attack at a checkpoint in the city. Both terrorists were eliminated in an exchange of fire with security forces.
Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth signed orders authorizing the homes’ confiscation and temporary sealing. The IDF said it “intends to continue to advance the process of demolishing their homes.”
Under Israel’s policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinians accused of deadly terror attacks, sealing can serve as an interim measure or an alternative to demolition. Demolition generally takes several months, allowing for High Court consideration of family appeals and operational decisions about when forces can enter the area.
Paratroopers Brigade and Maglan Unit troops arrested 12 suspects overnight, confiscated illegal vehicles and located weapons. According to the IDF, approximately 50 suspects have been arrested and more than 500 sites searched during the continuing Hebron operation.
Suspect arrested over alleged imminent road attack
IDF Battalion 202 troops, acting on precise Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) intelligence, apprehended a Palestinian suspect earlier today in the Binyamin Brigade’s area of responsibility, in the Ramallah area.
The military said he was planning an “imminent terror attack along a major road.” His exact arrest location was not disclosed. He was transferred to the Shin Bet for further questioning.
Trump weighs renewed strikes and an agreement
President Trump said:
“There is a possibility I will bomb Iran again. There is also a possibility we will have a nice, big, beautiful agreement. They want to make a deal, but the problem is, will they hold the deal?”
He also said:
“I have a decision to make: Do I finish it off, which would be very easy to do, or do I make a deal? That is the decision. We know what’s going on at Pickaxe Mountain”.
Israel’s alert level has reached its highest point, according to Israel’s Channel 12.
Iranian committee chairman threatens essential infrastructure
Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, threatened Israel, writing:
“A single miscalculation is all it takes: the occupied lands rendered uninhabitable in under an hour.”
He shared an image marking Israeli water desalination plants, power stations, oil and fuel facilities, major bridges and tunnels, and a nuclear research facility.
The implied threat was that attacks on these sites could interrupt essential water and electricity supplies and disrupt transport, making everyday life in Israel impossible.
