Three Hamas weapons facilities dismantled in Gaza
Last Thursday, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) struck across the Gaza Strip and dismantled three weapons storage facilities used by Hamas’ military wing. More than 40 Chabad men detained over draft evasion
Military Police detained more than 40 ultra-Orthodox men from the Chabad-Lubavitch community at Ben Gurion Airport this morning as they returned to Israel from the United States.
The Military Police had advance information about their arrival and dispatched additional officers to the airport. A bus was prepared to transport the detainees to an induction base, where they will be tried.
Those willing to enlist will receive a suspended sentence and begin military service immediately. Those who refuse will be sent to military prison.
Responding to a query, the IDF said the detainees “are required to enlist and will be tried in accordance with the law.”
“The Military Police routinely enforces the Defense Service Law, including at border crossings, in coordination with relevant authorities, including the Population and Immigration Authority,” the IDF said, adding that it will “enforce the Defense Service Law equally and ensure fulfillment of the duty to serve.”

Alongside the division’s establishment, a series of military space projects was approved over the past year. According to the IDF, these involve operating sensors from space toward Earth and space warfare.
