Gaza strikes and Hamas planning document
The IDF said weekend airstrikes eliminated three Hamas military-wing terrorists: Abdullah Mohammed Khamis Jaber and cell commander Majed Ahmed Mustafa Sabbagh in Tuffah in northern Gaza, and engineering-battalion member Amer Bashir Mohammed Khourani in Jabalia.
Jaber assisted weapons production and played a significant role in Hamas’ production headquarters, including its rehabilitation and development.
The military said all three had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to restore Hamas’ military capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. It said the strikes were carried out to remove the threat.
Katz signaled to the Peace Council that the time is approaching when the IDF will itself dismantle Hamas and demilitarize Gaza by eliminating its weapons and tunnels.
The IDF also publicly disclosed for the first time what it described as an internal Hamas document from April 2024 proposing explosives around displaced persons camps in Gaza during the war.
According to the military, Hamas’ engineering department proposed detonating them as troops approached, creating panic to conceal operatives’ escape while placing civilians at risk.
The document also proposed explosives along routes used by Gaza residents to delay Israeli troops, and stun grenades fired into camps to create chaos and allow Hamas terrorists hiding there to flee.
The IDF said the proposals were intended to protect and evacuate Hamas leaders and operatives from areas where Israeli troops were expected to operate. It described the document as evidence that Hamas knowingly endangered and exploited civilians through actions likely to cause direct harm to advance its terrorist activities.

Regional alerts and Iran-related diplomacy
The U.S. issued coordinated security alerts across 12 Middle Eastern countries amid escalating regional tensions and potential threats from Iran-backed groups. Countries covered include Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.
Diplomatic missions warned of sudden flight cancellations, commercial delays and temporary airspace closures, urging travelers to check directly with airlines and prepare for transportation disruptions.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned:
“Last time you wanted to ‘finish the job’, Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful; we have unfinished jobs too.”
He also accused Netanyahu of drawing America into another war to stay out of jail, regardless of the consequences for Israel or the U.S. president.
Netanyahu said Russian and Israeli interests sometimes clash, reiterated Israel’s opposition to Russian cooperation with Iran, and accused a bot operation targeting Israel of spreading “the most blatant antisemitism imaginable.” He said he raises these issues clearly and speaks with Putin as needed.
Netanyahu also claimed Iran would want to turn Muslims in Russia into its agents, accusing Iran of having “insane ideas about conquering the world.”
