Home mapped after Bell checkpoint attack

IDF and Border Police forces operating under the Binyamin Brigade entered Beit Ur al-Tahta last night to map the home of the terrorist who carried out the ramming attack at the Bell checkpoint, seriously wounding a reservist.

Any decision to demolish the home will follow security officials’ recommendations and the established procedure, including all required approvals.

Uncoordinated olive harvest halted near Beitar Illit

According to the military, several harvesters accompanied by dozens of people arrived earlier today for an uncoordinated olive harvest near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in that area requires an advance request to the relevant authorities before the season begins to ensure security and public order.

Citing the security risk of an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces and Judea and Samaria District Police officers detained those present.

The landowner was instructed to coordinate harvesting on his plot and received contact details to arrange a later date.

The military said authorized harvesting continues, with approximately 100 coordinated harvests conducted across Judea and Samaria so far, yielding many dozens of tons of produce without unusual incidents under security-force protection and coordination.

Only harvesters may enter areas designated for coordinated harvesting, solely to harvest.

Security forces said they are working, as in previous years, to enable a safe, orderly season without interruptions or unusual incidents while continuing defensive and counterterrorism missions.

Investigation opened into tomb fire in Awarta

IDF forces were dispatched earlier today to Awarta, in the Samaria Brigade’s sector, after receiving a report and footage of a tomb being set on fire. No one was injured.

Soldiers searched for suspects, who had fled before their arrival.

Judea and Samaria District Police officers and forensic investigators are preparing to enter the scene under IDF protection to collect evidence and witness statements as part of the investigation.

The IDF strongly condemned the incident and said security forces are working to locate the suspects.
